Sabaa Tahir:
Sabaa Tahir grew up in the Mojave Desert, where she didn't have cable. She left the desert at age 17, where she attended UCLA. She's worked as a motel clerk, gas station attendant, office manager, tutor, hand masseuse, editor and writer. She recently left the Washington Post and began writing An Ember in the Ashes. If Sabaa Tahir could have any job, she's be a space explorer. When she was a kid, she wanted to be a pirate or a bear. Lastly, Sabaa Tahir's biggest goal in life is to own a Triumph motorcycle and drive around her neighborhood at night, potentially frightening her neighbors.
